FOUR STARS OF VALOR
The Combat History of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment in World War II
by
Phil Nordyke

FOUR STARS OF VALOR is the combat history of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment the only parachute
regiment to make four combat jumps during World War II as told in the words of the veterans and written by the regiment's official historian. No less an authority than General Matthew B. Ridgway, who commanded the 82nd Airborne Division during much of World War II said "the 505 was the best parachute regiment to come out of World War II." Drawing on interviews, oral history transcripts, written accounts, memoirs, and unpublished written accounts from over 300 surviving veterans of the 505th and its supporting units, author Phil Nordyke brings the history of the regiment to life, conveying with remarkable immediacy and power what it was like to be there, from the first American mass combat jump to some of the fiercest fighting at the forefront of six major campaigns: Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Germany. FOUR STARS OF VALOR is history as it was lived by the men of the 505th, from their pre-war coming of age, to the formation of the regiment, through the end of World War II when they marched in the Victory Parade up Fifth Avenue in New York, to the post-war legacy of having been part of an elite regiment with a record unsurpassed in the annals of combat. Almost 700 men who served with the regimental combat team are quoted or mentioned by name in the book.

The ALL AMERICANS in WORLD WAR II
A Photographic History of the 82nd Airborne Division at War
by
Phil Nordyke

The ALL AMERICANS in WORLD WAR II provides a complete photographic history of the 82nd Airborne Division during the Second World War. The book visually documents training at Camp Claiborne, the Parachute School at Fort Benning, the Frying Pan, the Alabama Area, Fort Bragg, and Oujda in North Africa. Historic images of combat in Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany as well as occupation duty in Berlin and the New York City Victory Parade serve as a photographic record of the division's actions during World War II.

The All Americans in World War II contains 365 historic images, some never before published, along with 30 large detailed maps. Each chapter begins with an historical summary of the actions documented photographically on the succeeding pages. With identical chapter titles, the book may be used as a photographic companion with ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY.

ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY
The Combat History of the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II
by
Phil Nordyke

For the first time, ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY tells the definitive human story of what was arguably the most elite American fighting division of World War II, the immortal 82nd Airborne Division. Combining oral and written accounts drawn from almost 1,000 veterans, the history of the division in World War II is told from the perspectives of the troopers in the foxholes. These accounts most often have never before been recorded: they are the experiences and reflections of the junior officers, non-commissioned officers, and enlisted men - those who did the fighting.

ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY establishes an historical record of the experience of frontline combat in the 82nd Airborne Division. Setting veterans' accounts into the larger framework with historical accuracy,  ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY will become the definitive reference in its field.  ALL AMERICAN ALL THE WAY presents the veterans' stories in an engaging and active way that takes the reader into the action, to vicariously experience the cutting edge of combat and the hardships of daily life of these special men.
